NewsRadio1620 (WNRP-AM) and our sister station Cat Country 98.7 (WCTY-FM) are locally owned by Dave and Mary Hoxeng (ADX Communications).
In late 2005, the station debuted as “Classic Country AM 1620”. In September 2007, the station changed the format to NewsTalk, and it was renamed NewsRadio1620, “Pensacola’s Live, Local NewsTalk Station.”
NewsRadio1620 is a Fox News Radio affiliate. You can hear Fox News every 30 minutes, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
NewsRadio1620 is also Pensacola’s station for Dave Ramsey, Dennis Miller and Roger Hedgecock, which are all among the nation’s top 10 syndicated programs.
We also partner with WEAR Channel 3 to bring you the First Warning Weather 3-Day Forecast, and the day’s top local stories live and direct from the Channel 3 newsroom at 5, 6 and 10 pm on weekdays; 6 am and 10 pm on weekends.
