Small 3-5 acre fire now burning in Bayshore Court in Midway just east of Naval Live Oaks

People who have been evacuated due to the wildfire have been asked to go to Perdido Key United Methodist Church on Innerarity Point Road, Red Cross is providing assistance.

Wildfire Update: Highway 98 westbound at Blue Angel, traffic is moving at a crawl. Bulldozers trying to cut a fireline away from fuel sources right now. Blue Angel Parkway closed between Sorrento Road and Highway 98.

45 acres burned so far at wildfire in Jones Swamp at Dog Track and Blue Angel, EMS set up at Winn Dixie.

Airplanes and copters dropping water and bulldozers creating dirt barriers trying to contain wildfire at Jones Swamp. Sparked behind Winn Dixie on Blue Angel about 5:30 this morning, being investigated as possible arson, now evacuating all people who live on Aleiron Avenue between Highway 98 and Dog Track Road.

UPDATE: Evacuations have been ordered in the area of the wildfire near Blue Angel Parkway.

Wildfire at Jones Swamp along Blue Angel Parkway. Flames higher than treetops and billboards, smoke is blotting out the sun. Evacuations may be ordered soon. Not the same blaze on Highway 98 yesterday.
