About
NEWSRADIO1620
Locally owned, independent, and community focused.
NewsRadio1620 (WNRP-AM) and our sister station CatCountry98.7 (WCTY-FM) are locally owned by Dave and Mary Hoxeng (ADX Communications).
In late 2005, the station debuted as “Classic Country AM 1620”. In September 2007, the station changed the format to NewsTalk, and it was renamed NewsRadio1620—Pensacola’s Live, Local NewsTalk Station.
NewsRadio1620 is a Fox News Radio affiliate. You can hear Fox News every 30 minutes 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
NewsRadio1620 is also the Pensacolastation for Dave Ramsey, Dennis Miller and Roger Hedgecock—all among the nation’s Top 10 syndicated programs.
We also partner with WEAR Channel 3 to bring you Channel First Warning 3-Day Forecast, and the day’s top local stories live and direct from the Channel 3 newsroom at 5, 6 and 10pm weekdays; 6am and 10pm on weekends.
Locally owned and community focused, NewsRadio1620 is the station that puts Pensacola first!

The new website does not have a feature that is easily evident on my
screen to listen live. I am not pleased with this change and will go back to
my other online radio morning show.
There is a link on the top right of the righthand column that has a “Listen Live” link. If it’s not there on your computer, it may be that our site is not formatted right now for the search engine or operating system you use. It should be an easy fix, can you reply to this post with what browser you use (Internet Explorer, Google Chrome) and what operating system you use (Windows 7, Vista, Mac). If you’re having problems with seeing us on an iPhone or iPad, we’re already looking for a fix on that! We’re sorry you can’t get us, though if you do have an iPhone, you can listen to us via the WNRP app. If there’s anything more we can help you with, don’t hesitate to send a direct email.
