Talk show host, voice actor, former TV news anchor, movie junkie and aviation enthusiast, are just a few things that describe Scott Jeffries. Scott was born in Colorado, raised in northeast Alabama, and now calls Perdido Key home. Spending months each summer on Pensacola Beach, Scott decided to move here full time. While he’s never been able to get used to the constantly changing traffic patterns, he feels right at home.
Scott’s love of radio started early. In 5th grade he was hosting a bi-weekly segment on his hometown talk radio station in Gadsden, AL. 6 years later, while in high school, he was hired to do the morning show. After college he became a TV news anchor, but hated wearing make-up, so back to radio he went. Stints in country, rock and classic hits radio took him back to his first love of talk. After hosting a nationally syndicated talk show, Scott became the CEO of a radio syndication company. With a strike of luck, he became a successful voice actor, leaving radio for more than 5 years. He can still be heard on TV commercials as the voice of major national brands.
Each afternoon Scott brings you the best in local, regional and national news. Pensacola Right Now isn’t your typical radio talk show. One minute you might hear the top story of the day, the next it could be the most off the wall topic. Scott likes to keep things mixed up and lighthearted.
Join Scott each afternoon from 4 until 7 PM on Pensacola Right Now.
