Rob joined NewsRadio1620 in the summer of 2008—coming armed with a life time of news experience, personal contacts and phone numbers collected over a broadcast news career that spans more than 30 years.

Coming to NewsRadio 1620 was a homecoming to the Gulf Coast. Raised across the country, he now considers his parent’s hometown of “Fairhope” to be “home port”.

Rob’s award winning news career includes anchoring and reporting for several years in Mobile, New Orleans, Houston, Dallas, San Antonio and Pittsburgh. He’s worked as a news correspondent for ABC and CBS, coverning hurricanes, elections and military affairs. He was an embedded reporter for CBS during the invasion of Iraq in 2003.

Rob is a sailing enthusiast and can be found most weekends sailing in the bay with his wife, Margarita.
