While the professionals compete for the top prize, community members are encouraged to roll up their sleeves and have a little fun with the chalk as well. Professional artists will start their projects on Friday and they’ll be putting their finishing touches on Saturday. Watch the magic happen! Special event space will be set aside for families to draw their own projects. We’ll even supply the chalk – provided by Fishbein Orthodontics. We’ll also have food trucks, children’s activities from Pensacola MESS Hall, First Tee, Fishbein and more!  NewsRadio will be there with their awesome cat, music & their prize wheel.  Perfect Plain will even be there with some great libations on tap! The Fiesta of Five Flags Centennial Imports Boat Parade

June 1st, 2019

The Fiesta of Five Flags Centennial Imports Boat Parade sets sail from the Pensacola Yacht Club at 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 1, 2019. The parade of over 25 marine vessels will start at the mouth of the Bayou Chico Bridge and will make its way to the Quietwater Boardwalk on Pensacola Beach. The community is encouraged to join the procession of boats escorting Don Tristan DeLuna’s yacht to the shores of Pensacola Beach where he will be welcomed by Chief Mayoki, his Queen, White Dove, and tribe at the DeLuna Landing Ceremony. Under orders from King Phillip II of Spain over 450 years ago, conquistador Don Tristan DeLuna sailed into the beautiful waters surrounding what is now Pensacola, Florida. He claimed the land he found in the name of Spain, and Pensacola became the first European settlement in the United States. The DeLuna Landing Ceremony is a lighthearted reenactment of what might have happened when Don Tristan DeLuna landed. The ceremony will take place on Saturday, June 1, 2019 at 3 p.m. at the Quietwater Beach Amphitheater located at 400 Quietwater Beach Road (Portofino Boardwalk) on Pensacola Beach.
